Subsole began exporting GEM® avocados in 2018.
The GEM® avocado can be even creamier than the Hass. It is more oval in shape and it features a green skin which turns a beautiful dark black-burgundy color when ripe. Crops first become available in September and the season ends in December.
GEM® growers are located in regions IV, V, RM and VI.
